MEET THE OWNER

Tri State Roofing Solutions is owned and operated by Pennsylvania native Ben McNees. Originally from Greenville, PA, Ben grew up in North Carolina and returned to the Keystone State in 2013 before moving to the Pittsburgh area and launching Tri State Roofing in 2016.

From the beginning

Construction has been in the McNees family for two generations, as Ben’s father was also a contractor. However, Ben didn’t follow in his father’s footsteps until he was a college student. He got his foot in the door in 2013 by working for a general contractor from his church.

Ben spent the next seven years learning the ins and outs of the industry, building custom homes, log homes, and additions while also doing remodeling work, including roofing. During that time, he got a year of welding experience under his belt while building commercial warehouses, working primarily with roof structural aspects. He expanded his business to include commercial construction and became a commercial roofer in 2021.

While the company has experienced significant growth and recognition among Pittsburgh-area commercial and industrial customers, Ben has never wavered from the core values by which Tri State Roofing Solutions was founded six years ago. The company, its owner, and the entire Tri State team stand firm on a foundation of integrity, their Christian and patriotic values shining through in every roofing project and customer interaction.
